Here’s the most interesting fact about this vehicle: The Fronx has two petrol engine options under the hood. The 1.2-litre K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine generates 89bhp at 6,000rpm and 113Nm at 4,400rpm. This engine is available with both a five-speed manual transmission and a five-speed automatic transmission. The 1.0-litre K-Series turbo petrol engine, on the other hand, produces 99bhp at 5,500rpm and 147.6Nm of torque between 2,000 and 4,500rpm. The turbo engine is available with a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission, and the biggest distinction is that the Fronx is now the only car in the Maruti Suzuki lineup with a turbo engine.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx- Pricing/ Rivals
The Fronx will go on sale in April and is expected to price between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 11 lakh. In terms of rivals, the car will compete against the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
