The Hyundai Venue N-Line is the country’s latest sporty subcompact SUV to hit the market. The Korean automaker’s second N-Line product for the subcontinent also receives performance and aesthetic enhancements over standard Venue variants. Kia, like the Venue N-Line, had also introduced the exclusive Sonet X-Line, which sits above the GT-Line. So, if you’re in the market for one of these SUVs, which one should you choose? Hyundai Venue N-Line vs Kia Sonet X-Line- Exterior Profile
Red accents on the dark chrome grille, a muscular bonnet, connected LED taillamps, projector LED headlamps, red inserts on the front and rear bumpers, and silver skid plates distinguish the Hyundai Venue N-Line. The compact SUV is outfitted with 16-inch alloy wheels.
Whereas the Kia Sonet X-Line is available in Matte Graphite exterior colour and features LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, wrap-around LED tail-lamps, a glossy-black tiger nose grille, and blacked-out skid plates. 16-inch alloy wheels backstab the side profile.

The Hyundai Venue N-Line has an all-black interior with “N Line” badging and red inserts on a gear knob, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and leather seats. An 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Amazon Alexa and Google support, a digital instrument cluster with a TFT display, reclining rear seats, multiple airbags, and automatic climate control are among the other key interior features.
The dual-tone interior of the Kia Sonet X-Line includes a 10.25-inch infotainment panel, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, automatic climate control, leatherette seats with orange stitching, ambient lighting, and multiple airbags.
Hyundai Venue N-Line vs Kia Sonet X-Line- Engine/ Transmission Options
The N-Line has only one engine and transmission option. It is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder Turbo GDi petrol engine that produces 118 horsepower and 172 Newton-meters of torque. A 7-speed DCT gearbox handles transmission duties.
The Kia Sonet X-Line, on the other hand, is available with either turbo petrol or a diesel engine. The former is a 1.0-litre GDi turbo petrol engine with 118 hp and 172 Nm of peak torque, and it, like the Venue N Line, is mated to a 7-speed DCT.
Hyundai Venue N-Line vs Kia Sonet X-Line- Pricing
The Hyundai Venue N-Line has priced between Rs 12.16 lakh and Rs 13.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas the Kia Sonet X-Line has priced between Rs 13.4 lakh and Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Venue N-Line gets modern styling, while the Kia Sonet X-Line gets aggressive looks. However, that is entirely dependent on the choice of the individual.
