Finally, the 2022 Citroen C3 has been launched in India for a starting price of Rs. 5.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The C3 is the French auto manufacturer’s second vehicle to be introduced in the country after the C5 Aircross, and it competes with vehicles like the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Tata Punch as well as with some of the subcompact SUVs because Citroen claims that C3 is a hatch with an SUV character.
Citroen C3- Exterior Profile/ Dimensions
The C3’s front features the recognizable Citroen grille split headlamps and LED DRLs. The vehicle also comes standard with body cladding all around, front and rear skid plates, and multi-spoke alloy wheels (available as an extra). It boasts 315 litres of boot space. Talking about the Citroen C3‘s dimensions, it is 3981mm long, 1733mm wide, and 1604mm high. The C3’s wider body typically provides more shoulder room inside the car, and a higher roof facilitates entry and exit. The wheelbase of the 2022 Citroen C3 is 2540mm.
Citroen C3- Engine/ Powertrains
A 1.2-liter, three-cylinder gasoline engine with naturally aspirated combustion produces 81 horsepower and 115 Nm of torque to power the C3. Customers can also choose the engine’s turbocharged variant, which produces 109 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque. The two have a five-speed manual and a six-speed manual as available transmissions, respectively. The C3 has not yet been equipped with an automatic gearbox. The naturally aspirated engine and the turbocharged engine both claim to have fuel efficiency ratings of 19.8 kmpl and 19.4 kmpl, respectively.

The C3 has a tonne of features as well. The vehicle includes a wireless 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, phone and audio controls on the steering wheel, four speakers, front and rear USB charging ports, and much more. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, speed-sensing auto door locks, rear parking sensors, and a high-speed alert system are all safety features.

It will compete with vehicles like the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, and Ignis. The C3 is a “hatch with an SUV attitude,” as Citroen describes it, and that is clear as soon as you see it because it seems to have a tall boy design.
