Meridian is only available with a diesel engine. It, like the Compass, has a 2.0-liter diesel engine. Jeep has not yet revealed the power figures, but we anticipate they will be similar to the Compass. The diesel engine in the Compass produces 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. There are two transmission options: a six-speed manual and a nine-speed automatic with AWD.
Fortuner is available with both petrol and diesel engines. The 2.7-liter petrol engine produces 163bhp and 245Nm of torque. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is a 2.8-liter unit capable of producing 201bhp and 420Nm(MT)/ 500Nm(AT) of torque. It has the option of 4WD.

The Fortuner, on the other hand, has ventilated seats, wireless charging, an 11-speaker JBL system, connected car technology, driving modes, a cooled glovebox, dual-zone climate control, and an 8.0-inch infotainment system.

Jeep has not yet revealed the Meridian’s price, but we can expect it to be competitive. It is expected to begin at Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom). The Toyota Fortuner, on the other hand, starts at Rs 31 lakh and goes up to Rs 43 lakh (ex-showroom).
Toyota has established a reputation for reliability and service over the years. So, if you want a tried-and-true product that provides a hassle-free ownership experience while also returning a good resale value, the Fortuner is the way to go.
