Force Gurkha- Exterior Design
The Gurkha maintains his previous boxy, upright stance. The overall appearance is similar to what we saw at last year’s Auto Expo. The new Gurkha has a clamshell bonnet, circular LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights, a new single-slat grille with bold ‘Gurkha’ lettering up front, and a new bumper too.
A lot of plastic cladding on the sides, squared wheel arches, off-road tyres, and the spare wheel mounted on the tailgate are also visible. The overall shape is very geometric, and the Gurkha appears to be a focused, purposeful off-road and lifestyle vehicle.
Force Gurkha- Interiors/ Features
The Gurkha has a dark grey interior colour scheme, a new touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth support, tilt and telescopic adjust steering, USB charging sockets for all four occupants, power windows, central locking, air conditioning, LED headlamps with DRLs, TMPS, and even a factory fitted snorkel.
Force Gurkha- Engine Specifications
The latest Gurkha is powered by an upgraded version of the 2.6-litre diesel engine, which produces 91hp and 250Nm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and features four-wheel drive with a low range as well as manual locking front and rear differentials.

Is Force Gurkha a better offroader?
The new Gurkha is equipped with independent double-wishbone suspension in the front and 5-link rigid axle units in the rear, as well as coil springs and anti-sway bars on all four wheels. Front and rear locking differentials, four-wheel drive, and a low ratio are all standard. According to Force Motors, there will be a slew of customisation options available, including the ladder, roof rails, jerry cans, and all-terrain tyres.
Force Gurkha 2022 Price
The Force Gurkha is only available in one variant and is priced at Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Force Gurkha SUV has been more cost prohibitive than the Mahindra Thar LX diesel (top-spec variant), which is available for Rs 14.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
Force Gurkha 5-door launch?
Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki are hard at work developing 5-door variants of the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Suzuki Jimny. Both of these SUVs have been spotted testing on Indian roads on numerous occasions. While their vehicles are still being tested, Force appears to have a production-ready 5-door Gurkha ready to hit the Indian market soon.
