Toyota has launched and revealed the prices of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG, the segment’s first CNG-powered SUV. The model comes in two trim levels: S and G. Therefore in terms of exterior design, the looks remain unchanged, and the car retains its current appearance.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG- Engine/ Transmission Options
The Hyryder CNG is powered by the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder K12C engine found in the Ertiga and XL6 CNG. The engine produces 103hp and 136Nm in petrol mode, but drops to 88hp and 121.5Nm in CNG mode. The Hyryder CNG, like most CNG models, is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission, and Toyota claims the midsize SUV has a fuel economy figure of 26.6km/kg.

The Hyryder CNG comes equipped with features such as LED headlamps, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic climate control, cruise control, and 6-airbags, among others.

The Hyryder CNG will compete with the Grand Vitara CNG, the market’s only other midsize SUV with a CNG option. Therefore, the Grand Vitara S-CNG is priced from Rs 12.85 lakh to Rs 14.84 lakh (ex-showroom).
