Tata Motors has introduced the Tiago EV, the company’s third electric vehicle. The electric hatchback is the most affordable electric vehicle in the country, with introductory prices for the first 10,000 bookings starting at Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It includes more features than the standard Tiago, as well as delicate EV-specific design changes to the interior and exterior.

Tata Tiago EV- Exterior Design
Although the electric hatchback has the same overall shape and styling as the petrol version, but there are a few differences that set it apart from its ICE counterpart. A black plastic panel with the “EV” badge replaces the front grille. Tata’s signature tri-arrow pattern can be found on the bumper. The 14-inch steel wheels get wheel covers, and the only distinguishing feature at the back is the “TIAGO EV” badge.
Tata Tiago EV- Interior/ Features
The blue accents are carried over to the interior as well, and the Tiago EV’s cabin gets premium leatherette upholstery with the signature tri-arrow pattern in its top-end trim. The Tigor EV’s instrument cluster is used, and the gear knob has been replaced by a rotary dial.
The Tata Tiago EV comes with a 7-inch Harman-sourced touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate control, cruise control, driver’s seat height adjust, and steering-mounted audio controls, to name a few features. There’s also an 8-speaker audio system available.

The Tata Tiago EV is available in two variants: Medium Range and Long Range. The Medium Range variant has a smaller 19.2kWh battery pack, while the Long Range variant has a larger 24kWh battery pack. The larger battery pack has a claimed range of 315km, while the smaller 19.2kWh battery pack has a claimed range of 250km. A 7.2kW charger can charge the batteries in three hours and 36 minutes.
