PMV Eas-E Microcar Launched in India

PMV Electric, the Mumbai-based EV startup today unveiled its first flagship microcar called EaS-E: Your Everyday Car!! One of its kind, this electric microcar has been launched under a new category called Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV).

Basically, PMV Electric is an EV startup focussing on personal mobility. The company builds vehicles from scratch that are fully electric and purpose-built for everyday use. Founded in 2018 by an engineer- Kalpit Patel, the company was incorporated with the mission of building the future of personal mobility that offers safe, sustainable, technology. The company envisions accelerating the adoption of sustainable mobility for everyday use.

The PMV Eas-E has a length of 2,915mm, a height of 1,600mm, a wheelbase of 2,080mm, and a ground clearance of 170mm.

PMV Eas-E- Exterior Design

The Eas-E has a blanked-off grille design up front, as well as LED daytime running lights. It features two circular headlights and a single wiper on the windscreen. In appearance, the microcar is short and stumpy, with a swooping window line at the C-pillar. It also receives a slim LED lightbar for its taillights, as well as two circular auxiliary lamps in the rear bumper. The microcar comes in single and dual-tone colour schemes

PMV Eas-E- Interiors/ Features

In terms of interior, the steering wheel is located in the centre of the dashboard, and there is an LCD digital instrument cluster as well as an infotainment display with onboard navigation and smartphone connection. It also has regenerative braking, single-pedal driving, remote parking aid, cruise control, and follow-me-home headlamps, as well as remote networking and diagnostics. PMV also claims that the Eas-E will have a 4G connection and would get over-the-air (OTA) upgrades.

PMV Eas-E- Battery Specifications 

A 48V lithium-iron-phosphate battery is included with the PMV Eas-E. PMV says that the Eas-E may be charged in less than four hours utilizing a 15A plug and the onboard charger. The microcar is available in three range options: 120, 160, and 200km (claimed), and PMV claims that operating the Eas-E would cost less than 75 paise per km.

PMV Eas-E- Performance

The permanent magnet synchronous motor, rated IP67, generates 13hp and 50Nm of torque and drives the front wheels. PMV says Eas-E has an 0-40kph time of fewer than 5 seconds and a peak speed of 70kph.

PMV Eas-E- Pricing

In terms of cost, the Eas-E has a starting price of Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The firm has begun to accept pre-orders at a cost of INR 2000. So far, it has received over 6000 pre-orders from India and foreign markets.
