Tata Motors has been testing the upcoming Tata Safari for quite some time. As a result, we’ve already seen camouflaged test mules on our roads. The upcoming Safari has been spotted testing yet again, but this time we were able to get a close look at its interior, revealing some additional details that you should be aware of-
Upcoming Tata Safari- Exterior Design
The front fascia of the upcoming Tata Safari will be completely redesigned. The split LED headlamps will be retained, but the upper LED DRL will be a full-width light bar stretching across the bonnet. Meanwhile, the main headlamp cluster in the bumper below has been repositioned vertically and given a new trapezoidal shape. This implies that the bumper has been completely redesigned.
Upcoming Tata Safari- Gets a Two-spoke Steering wheel/ Paddle Shifters
When we first saw the interior of the upcoming Tata Safari, we noticed a few more changes to the dashboard design. The car also receives the same two-spoke steering wheel and paddle shifters seen on the Nexon facelift test mule. Aside from that, we anticipate the same 10.25-inch touchscreen seen on the Harrier and Safari Red Dark Edition.

In terms of safety, the car will come standard with six airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
Upcoming Tata Safari- Engine/ Powertrain Options
The Safari facelift will retain its 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine, which produces 170hp and 350Nm of torque and is mated to either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. The new 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 170hp and 280Nm of torque could also power the updated Safari SUV.
Upcoming Tata Safari- Expected Launch/ Rivals
The facelifted Safari is expected to be released early next year, with prices starting at Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, Toyota Innova Hycross, Innova Crysta, and Hyundai Alcazar.
