Following the test mule of the upcoming Tata Nexon, here are some spy images of the upcoming Punch EV, which was found on a recovery van, so here are some details about the car that you should know-
Upcoming Tata Punch EV- Exterior Design
The Punch EV’s exterior design is nearly identical, with a handful to no changes. However, we can expect the EV to be distinguished from the regular Punch by a slightly modified front fascia and blue accents. The rear disc brakes, which are otherwise drum brakes on the petrol Punch, are a major change found in the Punch EV test mule.
Upcoming Tata Punch EV- Interiors/ Features
The interior image reveals that the Punch EV receives an electronic parking brake and a drive selector from the Nexon EV Max. While it retains the same 7-inch touchscreen as the ICE version, Tata may later incorporate its new 10.25-inch touchscreen, which is available on the Nexon EV Max Dark. On the electric model, we can also expect features such as auto hold, wireless charging, and more.
Upcoming Tata Punch EV- Powertrain
In terms of powertrain, the Tigor EV and Tiago EV are the closest to the Punch, and it is expected that the Punch EV will use the same system, though it will likely offer multiple battery sizes to appeal to a wider range of customers. As a result, we can expect the vehicle to be based on Tata’s Ziptron architecture and have a range of around 300 kms.
Upcoming Tata Punch EV- Expected Launch, Pricing/ Rivals
The Punch EV is expected to go into production in June of this year and to be released in October. When released, the car is expected to sell for Rs 9.5 lakh-10.5 lakh (Ex-showroom). In terms of competitors, the car will compete with the Citroen e-C3, Tata Tiago EV, and others.
