Maruti Suzuki has started the production of the Toyota Belta in its manufacturing facility at Manesar. Belta is nothing but a Reabadged Version of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.In the year 2016, Toyota Motor Corporation and Suzuki Motor Corporation started a partnership and signed an agreement in August 2019 for a capital alliance to establish and promote long-term cooperation in the field of the Automotive Industry across the globe.
Under the hood, there will be no mechanical changes. The Toyota Belta will be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine from the Ciaz that produces 103bhp and 138Nm of torque. Transmission options might include a five-speed manual unit and a four-speed torque converter automatic unit.
