Tata Safari Gold VS Tata Safari Dark
Tata Motors debuted an exclusive edition of its flagship SUV, the Tata Safari Gold Edition, at the Vivo IPL in Dubai last year. The gold edition is also available in black, but it is not the pure black colour that we see in the DARK EDITION of the Tata Lineup. The Safari Dark edition, on the other hand, includes the pure black colour, i.e. the Oberon Black colour, which looks extremely intense and beautiful.
Furthermore, the gold edition is only available in the top variant of the Tata Safari, namely the XZ+ variant, whereas the dark edition is available from the XT+ variant onwards. Though both versions of the SAfari look fantastic, they lack a few key features such as AWD, a 360-degree camera, a turbo-petrol version, and adaptive cruise control.
Safari Dark Edition is powered by the same 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine found in the Safari and Harrier models. This engine produces 168 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox handles transmission duties, sending power to the front wheels.
