Skoda Slavia : Engine Specifications
Have you heard from anyone that a Skoda car’s engine performance is poor? Clearly, not! The Slavia is no exception, as it features the same powerful TSI engines as the KUSHAQ and Taigun. The Slavia is available with two engines: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI engine and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI engine.
The 1.0-litre TSI produces 115hp and is available with a 6-speed manual or torque converter auto gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre TSI engine produces 150hp and will be available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG transmission.
Both engines are manufactured at Skoda’s Chakan facility. The Skoda Slavia is built on the India-specific MQB-A0-IN platform, which will also be shared with the upcoming Volkswagen Virtus, the Vento sedan’s successor.
Skoda Slavia : How it differs from its rivals ?
Skoda finally realizes that Indians want a car that is practical and loaded with features in addition to good performance and good build quality. The car is larger than the rapid and Surprisingly, Slavia has the best wheelbase and boot space in its class. This makes it a practical sedan as well.
Furthermore, it includes features that many of us would appreciate, such as led headlamps, beautiful alloy wheels, an electrically folding orvm, an engine start-stop button, keyless entry, and a large sunroof, among others.
When you enter the Slavia, you immediately notice the fit and finish, as well as the use of high-quality materials. Its interior is very luxurious, and the materials used are of the highest quality. It was previously assumed that Slavia could not obtain the same build quality as the old rapid, but once inside Slavia, you will see a different story.
When it comes to the engine, the 1.5-litre TSI engine is the most powerful in its class, producing 150hp and 250Nm of torque. And, when paired with a quick-shifting 7-speed twin-clutch DSG, the Slavia 1.5 is also the fastest, outperforming the City and Verna. The sedan’s only flaw is the lack of a diesel engine option. The Slavia does not have a diesel engine, whereas Verna and City do.
This vehicle has the potential to be a formidable rival to Honda City, which is currently the most popular vehicle in the segment. Prices, on the other hand, will play a significant role in this situation. Slavia’s 1.0 TSI version’s price has already been revealed, and it appears to be reasonable. However, the prices of the 1.5 TSI version have yet to be revealed.
