While the Suzuki Access 125 is primarily aimed at office workers and the Burgman Street 125 is a maxi-styled scooter, the Avenis 125 has been introduced to appeal to a younger demographic. The new Suzuki Avenis 125 appears to be inspired by its archrival, the NTorq 125, in terms of design. Both of these gearless scooters are nearly identical and have a sporty appearance. They get an all-LED headlamp, an LED taillamp, a cool dual-tone paint scheme, and LED DRL on the NTorq 125.

In terms of colour options, the Avenis 125 is available in four dual-tone colours as well as a Race Edition version. The TVS NTorq 125, on the other hand, comes in ten different colours, including the Race Edition, as well as a Marvel-inspired Super Squad Edition and the top-spec Race XP version.

The new Avenis 125 is built on the same chassis and mechanicals as the Access 125. It is propelled by a 124.3cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 8.7 hp and 10 Nm of peak torque. The standard TVS NTorq 125 is powered by a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 9.2 hp and 10.5 Nm of torque. Its Race XP version is even more powerful, with 10 hp and 10 Nm. The engines in both scooters are mated to a CVT transmission.

Telescopic forks at the front and a spring-loaded shock absorber at the rear are standard on the Avenis 125 and TVS NTorq 125. They have a combined braking system with a drum brake at the rear and a disc brake at the front. In terms of features, both vehicles receive an all-digital instrument cluster that displays a wealth of data and even supports Bluetooth connectivity. They display missed call alerts, SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and other information. The top-spec Race XP version of the TVS NTorq 125 also comes with two riding modes: Street and Race.
