The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno is expected to be launched sometime in 2022.
Performance
The new Baleno is expected to be powered by the same 1.2-liter petrol engine as the current model, which produces 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. The CVT unit and the five-speed manual unit are also likely to be carried over.
Features
Based on multiple sightings of prototypes, we believe the Baleno will get a major facelift. The changes could include a redesigned front fascia, redesigned bumpers, and new head, fog, and tail lights. It may also receive a new design for the alloy wheels.
The interior could be updated with a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, repositioned centre air conditioning vents, and a new steering wheel.
Price
Because the Baleno will be heavily updated, prices are expected to rise by Rs 30,000 to Rs 70,000 over the current model.
Rivals
The new Baleno will continue to compete with the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, and Volkswagen Polo.
