- Hyundai Alcazar is basically a 7 Seater Premium version of Hyundai Creta.

After earning so many accolades for Venue and Creta , Hyundai has decided to launch Alcazar, the six/seven-seat SUV based on Creta. It slots above the Creta but below the Tucson in Hyundai India Portfolio.
Hyundai Alcazar will come with two seating configurations – a 6-seater with captain’s seats in the middle row and a 7-seater bench seat. Alcazar would be a direct rival to the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700. It will have the longest wheelbase amongst its rivals.
According to Hyundai ” The upcoming 7 seater premium SUV, Hyundai ALCAZAR will match the ambitions of sophisticated, innovative and tech-savvy customers”.
The features which are expected in Alcazar are 8-speaker Bose audio system, a 7.0-inch instrument cluster, leather upholstery, front ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, auto dimming inside rear view mirror, a panoramic sunroof, air purifier, 6 airbags, remote engine start-stop, vehicle stability management, hill start assist, 360 degree camera, automatic AC unit and Bluelink connected car technology.
Hyundai will offer the Alcazar a choice of two engines, the first being the 1.5-litre diesel from Creta/ Seltos and then the 2.0-litre petrol from the Tucson, both offered with 6AT and 6MT transmission options. The 1.5 L diesel unit will develop an identical 115hp and 250Nm as in the Creta/Seltos but will be tuned differently.
The 2.0 L Nu Naturally aspirated petrol engine, on the other hand, will offer better performance, thanks to its tuned-up performance figures ie. 159hp and 192Nm of torque. Hyundai claims that the Nu 2.0 L Petrol BS6 engine (6MT) will offer acceleration of 0 – 100 km/h in under 10 seconds. This petrol engine would be a treat for car enthusiasts.
