Hyundai is all set to launch Alcazar as the three-row version of its Crossover based Compact SUV Creta. The Alcazar will feature a new fascia look with new front grills, bumpers and taillights.
According to Hyundai ” The upcoming 7 seater premium SUV, Hyundai ALCAZAR will match the ambitions of sophisticated, innovative and tech savvy customers”.
Hyundai Alcazar Seating Configuration
The Alcazar will launch with two seat configuration options : 6-seater (captain seat) and 7-seater (bench seat).
From the spy shot it is clear that the 6 seater version of Alcazar will come with unique dual-tone captain seats , an armrest with cup holders and Wireless mobile charging facility.
The third row looks wide enough for two adult passengers.
The Hyundai Alcazar will powered by the same engines which we get in Creta.
Currently Creta has 3 engine option, one is a 1.5-litre Variable-Geometry Turbocharged diesel engine which produces 115hp of max power and 250Nm of peak torque and the other one is a 1.4L Turbo Petrol engine. The engine makes a maximum of 138 bhp coming in fully at 6,000 rpm while the peak torque output is rated at 242 Nm coming in between 1,500-3,200 rpm and the last one is a 1.5 L Naturally aspirated petrol engine.
The features which are expected in Alcazar are 8-speaker Bose audio system, a 7.0-inch instrument cluster, leather upholstery, front ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, auto dimming inside rear view mirror, a panoramic sunroof, air purifier, 6 airbags, remote engine start-stop, vehicle stability management, hill start assist, 360 degree camera, automatic AC unit and Bluelink connected car technology.
Expected Launch,Price and Rivals
The upcoming Creta based 7 seater SUV will introduce in the Indian market by June 2021.It will rival the likes of Tata Safari , Next gen Mahindra XUV500,MG Hector Plus etc.
The Alcazar is expected to price it from Rs 14 lakh onwards. (Introductory Ex-showroom).
