BYD Seal EV Enters Indian Market at Rs 41 Lakh

BYD has just launched its Seal electric sedan in India, offering a range of variants starting from Rs 41 lakh for the entry-level Dynamic model and going up to Rs 53 lakh for the top-spec Performance AWD version.

The Seal comes in three variants – Dynamic, Premium, and Performance. It boasts a quick acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and can travel up to 650 km on a single charge, depending on the variant and battery pack.

It’s essential to understand the different configurations available for the BYD Seal.

The base Dynamic variant features rear-wheel drive (RWD) and a 61.4 kWh battery pack, priced at Rs 41 lakh. This variant offers a claimed range of 510 km on a single charge.

For those seeking more power and range, variants equipped with the larger 82.5 kWh battery come in both RWD and all-wheel drive (AWD) setups.

In the single-motor RWD configuration, the Seal generates 312hp and 360Nm of torque. With the dual-motor AWD setup, it delivers an impressive 530hp and 670Nm of torque.

The claimed range extends to 650 km for the RWD version and 580 km for the AWD version, showcasing the Seal’s versatility and performance across different drivetrain options.

This electric sedan is BYD’s third model in India, following the e6 MPV and Atto 3 SUV.

Packed with features like ADAS Level 2, NFC card integration, and 9 airbags, the Seal offers both style and efficiency. It also supports Vehicle-To-Load Technology, acting as a portable power supply for electrical devices with an output of up to 3,000W.

Inside, the Seal features a rotating 15.6-inch infotainment display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a heads-up display for the driver.
