BYD(Build Your Dreams) India has launched the Atto 3 in India for Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Chinese EV carmaker has received 1,500 bookings for the electric SUV, which was unveiled last month and is available in a single fully-loaded trim. The Atto 3 is BYD’s second model for India, following the e6 MPV, which was made available to private buyers in August of this year.
In the drive review video of the BYD Atto 3, I mentioned that the expected price of the Atto 3 could be around 36 lakh rupees. However, BYD has released the price of the Atto 3 today, and the introductory price is Rs 34 lakh rupees (Ex-showroom), which could eventually end up costing nearly 35-36 lakh rupees On-Road.
BYD ATTO 3 : Powertrain
The Atto 3 is powered by a 60.48kWh battery pack that generates 201bhp and 310Nm of torque. There are three drive modes to choose from: Eco, Normal, and Sports, and BYD claims a zero to 100kmph sprint time of 7.3 seconds. There are 80kW DC and 7.2kW AC chargers available.BYD-ATTO 3 is available in 4 colours: Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, Ski White, and Surf Blue.
The BYD-ATTO 3 also includes the L2 Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) BYD Dipilot, 7 airbags, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.8-inch (32.5cm) adaptive rotating Screen, 360° holographic transparent imaging system, NFC card key, and a Vehicle to Load (VTOL) mobile power station, making it a highly competitive EV offering.
BYD ATTO 3 : WARRANTY
BYD-ATTO 3 comes with an 8-year or 1.6-lakh-kilometre warranty for the traction battery, an 8-year or 1.5-lakh-kilometre warranty for the motor and motor controller, a 6-year or 1.5-lakh-kilometre warranty for the vehicle, and warranty details for other components. BYD is planning to open 24 showrooms across 21 cities in India by the end of this year and aims to expand to at least 53 showrooms by the end of 2023. BYD India plans to participate in the Auto Expo 2023 and will debut more products and technologies for the Indian market.
