The new Innova Hycross’s unveiling date has been revealed. According to the most recent updates, the new Innova Hycross will be unveiled in the Indian market on November 25th. As previously stated, the new Innova Hycross will feature a hybrid powertrain similar to the Hyryder, but with a larger 2.0l petrol engine and more power. The new Innova Hycross will come standard with a 2.0l petrol engine, while the hybrid version will sit higher.
Toyota Innova Hycross- Mileage/ Fuel-efficiency
While the new Innova Hycross will lack a diesel engine, the hybrid powertrain will provide excellent fuel efficiency. As a result, the new Innova Hycross would be far more efficient than the current Innova petrol, with the hybrid version expected to return more than 20kmpl. That will make it one of the most fuel-efficient MPVs on the market, especially for a vehicle of this size, as the new Innova is even larger than the current model.
When compared to other MPVs or 7-seater cars on the market, the Toyota Innova Hycross will be the clear winner in terms of mileage, as no other cars such as the Kia Carens, XUV 700, Hyundai Alkazar, or Mg Hector Plus are offered with the Hybrid powertrain. Therefore, the hybrid version is expected to be the best seller due to its efficiency, while the car’s headline-grabbing efficiency number will undoubtedly be a selling point.
Toyota Innova Hycross vs Innova Crysta
As previously stated, the new Innova Hycross is a significant upgrade over the previous Innova Crysta, which will be sold alongside the new one. The platform is new, as is the new generation Innova Hycross, which is more luxurious and includes features not found in the current model.
1. New Monocoque Chasis
The new Innova Hycross will feature a monocoque layout instead of the ladder-frame construction seen on earlier Innova models. In addition, the new model will now feature a front-wheel drive (FWD) layout instead of rear-wheel drive (RWD). These two changes will completely change the way vehicle drives and mostly for good in the urban environment.
2. ADAS (Adaptive Cruise Control)
The new Toyota Innova Hycross will also be much safer than the Innova Crysta. The new Hycross is expected to get ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, auto high beam assist, and forward-collision warning. Other standard safety features such as TCS, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX child seat mounts will make the Hycross much safer.
3. More Features
The Innova Crysta lacked a lot of modern features that the competitors get. The new Hycross will boast lots of modern features such as a panoramic sunroof, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech, ventilated seats, a head-up display, dual-zone climate control, and a 360-degree camera.
Toyota Innova Hycross- Pricing/ Rivals
Talking about the pricing, the new Innova Hycross is expected to be priced from Rs 17-26 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the Hycross will continue to compete with Mahindra XUV 700, Kia Carnival, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra Marazzo.
