Why Mercedes-Benz C-Class often referred to as the “mini S-Class” ?

Mercedes-Benz C-Class has always been the company’s bread and butter in India. Despite the fact that the new C-Class made its global debut last year, in February 2021, the launch in India was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a global shortage of semiconductor chips. However, the car is now ready for the Indian market. The carmaker has also opened bookings for the new C-Class at Rs 50,000, with the price to be announced on May 10, 2022.

The “Mini S-Class” :

You’ve probably heard that the C-Class is a miniature version of the S-Class, right? Despite the fact that both cars are quite different in terms of engine, comfort, and, of course, price, there are some points that Mercedes can use to promote the C-Class as a baby version of the S-CLASS.

  • The new W206 C-Class is similar to the S-Class, owing to shorter overhangs and light shapes that are similar.
  • The new C-Class features the brand’s latest proprietary second-generation Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX 2.0) infotainment system, which is currently available only in the latest S-Class model. The second-generation MBUX infotainment system features a similar large 11.9-inch touchscreen display, as well as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
  • The new C-Class has new rear LED lights, and its exterior surfacing is far smoother than that of the S-Class. The front grille design, on the other hand, is determined by the trim level. However, its exterior is not significantly different from the S-Class.

Regardless of the similarities mentioned above One thing that isn’t mentioned much is the interior space, which the S-Class has plenty of. The new C-Class wheelbase has been increased by 25mm to 2,856mm, and the overall length has been increased by 65mm, providing a more spacious cabin than before.
