The new MG Hector Plus has been launched in India, and it features a bolder exterior, an updated interior, and a slew of new technology, including Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) functions.

2023 MG Hector Plus- Exterior Profile
The SUV has a massive chrome grille that dominates the front fascia, and the split headlamp design, albeit with minor changes, is carried over from the previous model. Minor changes have also been made to the SUV’s rear end. Redesigned tail lights that span the width of the car, a new chrome garnish, and a ‘Hector’ badge on the tailgate are among the changes.
2023 MG Hector Plus- Interiors/ Features
The interior of the new Hector Plus has been updated in two colours. The dashboard has been updated with redesigned air-conditioning vents and a 14-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. The Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is the most notable addition to the feature list, and it includes lane keep assist, forward collision warning, emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and high beam assist.
2023 MG Hector Plus- Engine/ Transmission Options
The Hector Plus retains the same 1.5-litre petrol engine, which is available with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. This unit has a peak torque of 250Nm and a power output of 143hp. This engine was previously available with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. However, it is no longer available on the facelifted model. In addition, the petrol engine’s 7-speed DCT gearbox has been discontinued.
The diesel engine is also the same 170hp, 350Nm, 2.0-litre unit found in the Harrier, Safari, and Compass. On the Hector diesel, MG continues to offer only a single six-speed manual transmission.
