2022 Toyota Glanza: Variant line-up, Engine, Gearbox details
While the previous Glanza was only available in two feature-packed variants – G and V – Toyota has added two new budget-level trims – E and S – this time around. The Glanza, which is now priced between Rs 6.39 lakh and Rs 9.69 lakh, then closely resembles the Baleno range, which includes four variants: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.
The Toyota offering, on the other hand, is priced Rs 4,000-20,000 higher, depending on the variant, than its Japanese counterpart. For starters, the extra money gets you a longer standard warranty of 3 years/1,000,000 km, compared to the Baleno’s 2 years/40,000 km.
Toyota’s updated hatchback is powered by a single 1.2-liter DualJet petrol engine with 90hp and 113Nm. Although it has auto engine stop-start functionality, it no longer has the previously optional mild-hybrid technology. The E, S, G, and V trims all come standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the top three trims can opt for an AMT, which replaces the CVT automatic from the previous Glanza.
