Some images of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been leaked ahead of the vehicle’s world debut. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift has been spotted for the first time without camouflage.
The car’s appearance has been updated with a new front end and refreshed styling.The images appear to be of a lower-spec model, as there is more black plastic visible rather than the chrome bits that will be seen on higher variants. The vehicle appears to lack fog lights, as well as a rear windshield wiper or washer. The car also has piano black ORVMs that contrast with the white paint job, as well as black door handles.
The car’s rear end has also been heavily updated, with a pair of new LED taillights and a new LED signature pattern. The vehicle also receives a new high-mounted LED stop light and a redesigned rear bumper. While we don’t get to see the car’s profile here, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will also get a new set of alloy wheels.
The mechanical specifications of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno are expected to remain unchanged. It will retain the same 1.2-litre VVT engine and a more powerful 1.2-litre Dualjet, Dual VVT engine. The engines are tuned to produce 82 bhp and 89 bhp, respectively, with a constant torque output of 113 Nm in both cases. The former has the option of a 5-speed manual or an automatic CVT unit, whereas the more powerful engine, which also has the mild-hybrid system, comes standard with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
We expect it to reach India in early 2022. This premium hatchback competes with the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, and others.
