The Huracan has always been a special supercar for me because it is a successor of previous V10 offering, the Gallardo ,which was my dream car when I was a kid. But time changes and in 2013, the last Gallardo was rolled off the production line and replaced by the Huracan in 2014.In year 2019,the Huracán received a mid-cycle update and now being called the Huracán Evo.
So we have Huracan EVO RWD with us and frankly speaking this Rear Wheel Drive Huracán Evo is not as quick as its AWD version but it is uniquely equipped with a specially tuned traction control system to deliver the most emotive, fun-to-drive experience in both dry and wet conditions.
What’s under the hood ?
The Huracan’s 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine is slightly detuned for its RWD version, ie. from 630 bhp and 600 N-m to 602 bhp of power and 560 N-m of torque. Due to which the RWD is slower than the standard Huracán Evo accelerating to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds while having the same top speed.The RWD coupe weighs 33 Kg less than its AWD version.
Driving Dynamics
The RWD has a unique Performance Traction Control System ( P-TCS ) that delivers torque in advance, avoiding a harsh torque cut and assuring better traction when exiting a corner.The Redesigned front splitter and rear diffuser further increases the vertical downforce produced, in comparison to the AWD variant of the Huracán EVO.
Moreover its 7-speed DCT allows the clutch and gears to work almost instantaneously and as seamlessly as possible.
Ventilated and cross-drilled steel brakes are fitted to 19” Vanir Shiny Black Rims or the optional 20” rims and carbon ceramic brakes.
Interior and Features
As soon as you enters the cockpit you will experience a Dual Cockpit concept.The drive and co-driver seats are bisected by a center console which is knows as Human Machine Interface in Lambo’s Language.The new human-machine interface of the Huracán EVO RWD comes with 8.4-inch multi-touch capacitive screen which displays real-time traffic information, and adapts the cockpit lights to the current driving mode and optional Ambient Lighting Package.
The 8.4 inch touchscreen infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa integration that provides voice-control technology.
Price
The Lamborghini Huracan RWD comes with a price tag of ₹ 3.22 Crore( Ex-showroom, Delhi) in India which makes it around ₹ 51 lakhs cheaper than AWD version.
