Following the release of the 2023 Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen has revealed the Virtus GT Plus with a manual gearbox. The Virtus GT Plus, which is currently available only with a 7-speed dual-clutch (DCT) automatic gearbox, will be now available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. In terms of styling, the Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus receives a sporty front grille and 16-inch new alloy wheels accented by red brake callipers. The Carbon Steel Grey roof adds to the dual-tone look, and an electric sunroof ensures a spacious and airy cabin experience. Furthermore, the Volkswagen Virtus Gt Plus now comes in a new exterior colour: Deep Black Pearl.

When it comes to the interiors, the cabin has also seen a number of changes. It has two interior theme options: Rave Glossy and Dark Red Glossy. Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus- Now Comes Equipped With A Manual Transmission.
The Virtus GT Plus is powered by a 1.5-litre TSI Evo petrol engine that produces 148 hp at peak. This engine is also used in the Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus manual transmission variant, which debuted alongside its sedan sibling. Therefore the company has taken a smart move in introducing a manual variant in the 1.5-litre Evo petrol engine, following the recently launched 2023 Hyundai Verna.
Volkswagen Virtus GT Edge- Gets A New Lava Blue Colour Option
Volkswagen also unveiled another Virtus variant, the GT Edge, at its Annual Brand Conference event in Kochi. The Virtus GT Edge is based on the GT Plus (automatic variant) and is painted Lava Blue.

Furthermore, the recently introduced Hyundai Verna is the toughest competitor to the Volkswagen Virtus now available in the market. With a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine capable of generating 157.8bhp and 253Nm of torque, the Hyundai Verna 1.5 Turbo is currently the most powerful sedan in its segment.
Furthermore, this engine can be specified with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox, which is why the VW Virtus is now available in Manual Transmission, which was previously unavailable.
