Finally, Maruti Suzuki has announced the launch of its new MPV, a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross. The car will be known as the Invicto and will sit at the top of Maruti Suzuki’s passenger vehicle lineup, as it will be the most expensive model produced by the company to date. 1. Comes Equipped With ADAS
The Invicto will be Maruti Suzuki’s first vehicle to feature Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The upcoming Invicto will feature the Toyota Safety Sense suite, which includes Blind Spot Monitor, Pre-Collision System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Trace Assist, and Auto High Beam. Six airbags will be standard on the new Maruti Suzuki MPV.
2. To Get Ottoman Seat Functionality
The top trim of the Innova Hycross features Ottoman seat functionality, which the Invicto will also have. With multiple seating options at the touch of a button, such as the recline position and expandable leg rest, these Captain seats will pamper the second passengers. The Invicto’s seats, like the Innova Hycross’, are expected to have luxurious leather upholstery. Aside from that, the upcoming Invicto will have an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ensuring an adjustable seating position.
3. To Get Powered Tailgate/ Other First-time Features
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto, like the Toyota Innova, will have a powered tailgate. The boot lid can be easily opened by pressing a button on the trunk or the key fob. Aside from that, the Invicto will have a slew of first-time features such as an electrochromic rearview mirror, front and rear multi-zone climate control, rear sunshades, and a premium 9-speaker music system.
4. Will Be Only Offered In One Trim- Strong Hybrid Alpha+ 2L
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Invicto will only be available in one trim level: Strong Hybrid Alpha+ 2L. This means that the Invicto will be powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine. It has 181 bhp and 188 Nm of torque. A 168-cell Nickel Metal Hydride battery also powers an electric motor capable of producing 206 Nm. It’ll be paired with an e-CVT automatic gearbox. This is the same engine that powers the Innova Hycross hybrid.
5. Booking Amount/ Expected Pricing
The upcoming Invicto MPV will be sold through Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa dealerships, which are currently accepting customer bookings for a 25,000 deposit. The car’s exact price will be revealed later; however, it is expected to be priced between 26-28 lakhs (ex-showroom).
