Finally, Maruti Suzuki has announced the launch of its new MPV, a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross. The car will be known as the Invicto and will sit at the top of Maruti Suzuki’s passenger vehicle lineup, as it will be the most expensive model produced by the company to date. Maruti Suzuki Invicto- Exterior Diffrences?
When it comes to the exterior design, we already know that most of the body panels will be the same as on the Hycross. However, Invicto’s front-end design will be significantly different. Spy photos show a new trapezoidal grille with a chrome bar, as well as redesigned front bumpers with LED daytime running lights. Among other changes, the MPV will get new alloy wheels with a new design.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto- Interiors/ Features
The interior will be similar to that of the Innova Hycross, with a floating touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. A panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS will also be standard on the MPV.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto- Engine/ Powertrain Options
The Invicto will be powered by the Hycross’ 183hp, 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain mated to the e-CVT gearbox, according to Maruti. The 173hp, 2.0-litre petrol engine will also be available on entry-level trims, mated to a CVT gearbox. Importantly, this will be the first Maruti to only be available with automatic transmissions.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto- Expected Launch Date/ Rivals
The Invicto will be launched in India on July 5 and will be the most expensive model in Maruti Suzuki’s passenger vehicle lineup to date. Therefore, the car will compete against the Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Kia Carnival, as well as the Innova Hycross.
