Tata Motors has finally released the unveil date for its most awaited car of the year, the Punch. The company has announced that unveil will be conducted virtually on 4 October. Its unofficial bookings have also started at the Tata Motors dealership.
Positioned between the Tiago NRG and the Nexon, the Punch micro SUV will be the smallest SUV in the lineup. It underpins the same ALFA-ARC (Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture) platform as is seen on the Altroz developed under the Impact 2.0 design language.
The Punch has already been spotted numerous times on Indian roads and the company has also released images of both the interiors and exterior. As a result of which, we can say that punch will feature a sporty look and a spacious cabin with a host of features like a Rear Armrest, floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel, semi-digital instrument cluster, 16-inch alloy wheels and 90-degree door opening feature, which is currently on offer with Tata Altroz.
Tata Punch Micro SUV will be powered by the same 1.2 Litre NA engine derived from Tiago and Altroz. This 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine makes 86 hp power and 113 Nm torque. The Punch could also receive a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine from Altroz Turbo that offers 110 hp power mated to a 5-speed manual.
