Škoda Auto India is set to introduce an exciting new chapter in its Indian journey with the announcement of an all-new compact SUV, following the success of the Kushaq and Slavia models.
Scheduled to debut in the first half of 2025, the compact SUV will be built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, specifically tailored for the Indian market. As a sub-4-metre SUV, it will leverage the excise benefits applicable to such vehicles in India, allowing Škoda to offer competitive pricing by passing on these benefits to customers.
In a unique initiative to engage customers and fans, Škoda Auto India has launched the #NameYourSkoda campaign. This campaign invites suggestions for the name of the new compact SUV, with the final name being chosen from both customer submissions and pre-registered options.
The new compact SUV will be Škoda’s third offering on the MQB-A0-IN platform, continuing the brand’s legacy of superior driving dynamics and safety. Developed jointly by Indian and Czech teams, this platform focuses on high localization, low cost of ownership, and quick turnaround times.
With an annual sales target of 100,000 cars in India by 2026, the new compact SUV is expected to play a key role in achieving this goal. Positioned to compete with popular models like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon, Škoda’s latest offering is poised to make a significant impact in the Indian compact SUV segment.
