Royal Enfield recently introduced the Scram 411 in India, with a starting price of Rs. 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom). The Scram is essentially a road-biased version of the Himalayan, but it borrows many characteristics from Royal Enfield’s adventure motorcycle to help it navigate difficult terrain. The Scram 411 is powered by the RE Himalayan engine, and the two bikes share the same suspension setup, with the exception of front wheel travel.
For those looking for a new bike that, while not an adventure bike, is suitable for our challenging road conditions and simplifies your daily commute, the RE Scram 411 is a solid choice. But is it better than Yezdi Scrambler, which was released last month in India? That’s what we’ll try to find out.
Royal Enfield Scram 411 vs Yezdi Scrambler: Practicality
RE Scram 411 | Yezdi Scrambler | |
Ground clearance | 200 mm | 200 mm |
Weight (kerb) | 185 kg | 182 kg |
Seat height | 795 mm | 800 mm |
These differences on paper do not seem very significant but we will have to test these bikes in the real-world to ascertain that.
Royal Enfield Scram 411 vs Yezdi Scrambler: Features
The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster that provides all of the necessary readouts. In addition, the Scram has the Tripper system for turn-by-turn navigation. The Yezdi Scrambler has a clear lens LED headlamp, handlebar-mounted USB and Type C charging points, three different ABS modes, and an LCD instrument cluster with all the necessary information.
As a result, while the Yezdi Scrambler has more features, it lacks turn-by-turn navigation when compared to the Scram 411.
