The Renault Arkana is a 5 seater compact crossover SUV with a sloping rear roofline(often called Coupe SUV). The car made its debut in Russia in May 2019 as a car based on the older Dacia/Renault Duster B0 platform.
The Arkana has a length of 4,545mm, a width of 1,820mm, a height of 1,565mm, and a wheelbase of 2,721mm. The new model has 208mm of ground clearance, which is higher than the Duster.
Renault Arkana is available in international markets with the same 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine that powers the Renault Duster and Nissan Kicks sold in India. This petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 154 bhp and a peak torque of 250 Nm. With this engine, the only transmission option is a CVT automatic gearbox.
It comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 9.3-inch digital instrument console, a Bose sound system, a 360-degree parking camera, and other features.
It’s unclear whether Renault is considering this crossover for our market or if this is just a post to promote the Movember campaign. However,If it is released in India, it will compete with the upcoming Mahindra XUV900.
