The Next-Gen Ford Endeavour has been spotted on Australian roads undergoing final validation testing. While the test vehicle was heavily camouflaged, It is still evident that the upcoming Endeavour’s front fascia will be inspired by the Ford F-Series pick-up giving it a bold and muscular front profile.
Apart from the C-shaped headlight clusters and muscular bumper, Next-Gen Ford Endeavour also features shorter front overhangs and a flat bonnet with a much greater dash-to-front axle ratio which makes it look like a gigantic SUV from the front.
The higher dash-to-front-axle ratio makes it easy to accommodate a turbocharged 3.0 L V6 diesel engine as an option for flagship variants. Yes! The new-generation Ford Everest (Endeavour) has also been developed to feature a 3.0-liter V-6 engine commonly referred to as the Lion engine that was jointly developed by Ford with PSA Peugeot Citroën years ago and is currently used in some Land Rover products like RangeRover Vogue priced at ₹ 2.11 Crore in India. Of course, this engine option is not expected to be available in the Indian spec of Endeavour.
The Indian spec is expected to get a new 2.0-litre Twin-Turbocharged diesel making 215 bhp and 500Nm with a 10-speed auto combination. Like the current-gen Endeavour, the new Endeavour will also feature its rugged off-road capabilities in 4×4 form.
The next-generation Ford Endeavour is expected to come with a full suite of advanced safety, and connected car technology, with a widescreen digital instrument cluster and large infotainment system available on top models.
According to CarAdvice, the prices and specifications for the 2022 Ford Endeavour(also known as Everest in the International market ) are due to be released later this year in the Australian market. It is expected to hit the Indian Market in mid of 2022.
The Ford Endeavour 2022 will continue to rival against Toyota Fortuner , MG Gloster and Isuzu M-UX.
