The latest addition to Kia India’s portfolio is the 6/7 Seater MPV Carens, which was introduced in India on February 15, 2022. The Kia Carens is available with three engine options. The base petrol engine is a tried-and-tested 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine with 113bhp of peak power and 144Nm of peak torque. A 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine with 114bhp and 250Nm of peak torque is the next engine option. This engine is likely to be the most popular among Indian customers.The 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 138bhp and 242Nm of peak torque is the third engine option. This engine is the most sporty of the bunch, and it will appeal to a large number of young buyers.
The Kia Carens has a 10.25-inch/8.0-inch infotainment screen on the dashboard. The touch panel provided on the vehicle provides users with a wide range of controls. Other notable features include a Bose 8-speaker system, a multi-function steering wheel with audio controls, and so on. The Kia Carens is available in 6-seater and 7-seater configurations.
