Hero MotoCorp has launched the XPulse 200 4V at Rs 1,28,150 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new motorcycle gets a revised engine and a few other new features.
Engine
The biggest change in the Hero XPulse 200 4V is the engine. It is a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor that has 4 valves. It is tuned to produce 18.8 BHP and 17.35 Nm. In comparison, the XPulse 200 (2V) has 17.8 BHP and 16.45 Nm. The new motorcycle also features a 7-fin oil cooler and an improved 5-speed gearbox. Hero MotoCorp says that it has also updated the gear ratio for improved acceleration.
New Updates
The full-LED headlamp of the Hero XPulse 200 4V has been tweaked for better performance. The motorcycle is also said to have an improved seat profile. Other features include a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, an aluminium skid plate, knuckle guards and an upswept exhaust.
Suspension & Braking
The suspension setup consists of 37 mm telescopic front forks with 190 mm of travel and a 10-step adjustable rear mono-shock with 170 mm travel. A 276 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the back handle the braking duties along with a single-channel ABS. The motorcycle has a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel using dual-purpose tyres.
Off-Road Capabilities
The Hero XPulse 200 4V has a ground clearance of 220 mm and weighs 158 kg. The wheelbase is 1,410 mm and the seat height is 825 mm. The motorcycle measures 2,222 mm in length, 850 mm in width, and 1,258 mm in height.
