The 2023 Honda City Facelift is all set to launch tomorrow. Here are all the details about the car that you need to know:
2023 Honda City facelift- Exterior Profile
The 2023 Honda City facelift includes a new blue exterior paint scheme, a new grille design, and a revised front bumper. It also gets more distinct LED DRLs. All of the major changes are in the front, while the side remains largely unchanged. The lower bumper has been revised at the rear.
2023 Honda City facelift- Gets a New Entry-level SV variant.
The updated City is also expected to get a new entry-level SV variant, which will likely replace the fourth-generation City as the most affordable option. With a new base-spec V variant lacking features such as ADAS, the hybrid counterpart’s starting price could be reduced as well.
2023 Honda City facelift- To Get a More Affordable Hybrid option.
The Honda City 2023 will be available in all nine variants. All variants will be available in SV, V, VX, and ZX trim levels. All four trims will be available with a manual transmission option. Automatic City will be available in V, VX, and ZX trim levels, while top hybrid City will be available in V and ZX trim levels. Until now, the City hybrid was only available in ZX trim; with the facelift, we will now have a more affordable City hybrid option.
2023 Honda City facelift- Interiors/ Features
The cabin is pretty much unchanged. New ambient lighting, new upholstery, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are among the updates here. It still has the same 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, push start/stop button, automatic climate control, ventilated seats, an electric sunroof, and other features.
2023 Honda City facelift- To Get ADAS in Petrol Trims also.
The car would also get the popular ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking. It is worth mentioning that the Hybrid powertrain was the only one which got ADAS earlier but now it would be provided with the petrol trims as well. The car will also get six airbags, and tyre pressure monitoring system, as part of its safety features.
2023 Honda City facelift- Engine/ Transmission Options
The RDE-compliant 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine will be available in the 2023 Honda City, while the 1.5-litre diesel engine will be phased out. The City eHEV, on the other hand, will be available with the same 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain mated to an e-CVT.
2023 Honda City facelift- Pricing/ Rivals
Although the prices have not been released, we can expect a price increase of Rs 50,000-70,000 over the current variant. It will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus, as well as the upcoming 2023 Hyundai Verna.
