Morris Garages India recently introduced the new 2022 MG ZS EV in the country, which features significant cosmetic updates, new and revised features, and a larger battery pack. 2022 MG ZS EV: Exterior Updates
The 2022 MG ZS EV gets a new look, with a covered grille similar to what we’ve seen on conventional EVs. In addition, the charging socket on the current model is located behind the MG logo on the grille, but it has been relocated to the left of the MG logo on the facelifted model.
The SUV gets new LED Hawkeye headlamps, 17-inch tomahawk hub design alloy wheels, and new LED taillamps on the outside. The front bumper has also been updated, with a sharper design that includes a wider central air dam and vertical intakes on both ends.
MG ZS EV: Features
The ZS EV also includes a Dual Pane Panoramic Skyroof, Digital Bluetooth Key, Rear Drive Assist, and other features. It also has a 7-inch digital cluster, a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, 5 USB ports, 2 of which are Type C charging ports, climate control via auto AC, and a PM 2.5 filter. It gets a redesigned interior, including a new instrument cluster. The updated ZS EV will also include a rear seat centre armrest, individual cupholders, a centre headrest, and rear AC vents.
MG ZS EV: Safety Features
In terms of safety, the electric SUV offers – 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera and hill descent control along with a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and electronic stability control (ESC) for a smoother and controlled drive. The suite also includes – Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
MG ZS EV: Powertrains
The 2022 MG ZS EV will be powered by the same 50.3 kWh battery pack that powers a 174 bhp permanent magnet synchronous motor. It has an estimated range of 461 km on a single charge, which is an improvement over the previous version’s range of 419 km. 0-100 kmph can be completed in 8.5 seconds, which is fast.
